With a record number of people crossing the English Channel at the hands of smugglers, Mana's tale has an added sense of urgency. She has been recording on and off since making that journey and shares the ups and downs she's had to deal with as she settles into her new life. Since reaching the UK she's made new friends and has set herself some ambitious goals in life, including making it into a mainstream film as an actress. If it sounds far fetched, then you don't know Bit Bok. She's courageous because she's had to be. As the family's only English speaker, she was left to negotiate with some of the most ruthless smugglers imaginable.
