A group of enthusiastic book lovers living in Aberystwyth get together to discuss the winner of the Wales Book of the Year Award, 'The Fortune Men' by Nadifa Mohamed. The Fortune Men is Mohamed’s third novel, and was also shortlisted for the 2021 Booker Prize. It is a fictionalised version of the real-life story of Mahmood Mattan, a Somali seaman who was wrongfully convicted of murder in 1950s Cardiff.
