In his 100th year, Henry Kissinger, diplomat, adviser to US presidents and ever-present influence in international affairs, discusses his life and career. In conversation at his home with James Naughtie, he reflects on a life which took him from a childhood in Nazi Germany to the Oval Office. A powerful and controversial figure, he talks about some of the leaders he has known - De Gaulle and Nixon, Xi and Putin. He also recalls the times he has lived through, and the way his own ideas about international affairs have developed. Producer: Giles Edwards First broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in June 2022.
