Call You & Yours: Do people treat you differently because of your accent? The crossbench peer Lord Digby Jones has criticised presenter Alex Scott's pronunciation during BBC coverage of the Olympics. He objected to the way that the TV presenter and former professional footballer drops the letter 'g'. He tweeted: Enough! I can’t stand it anymore! Competitors are NOT taking part in the fencin, rowin, boxin, kayakin, weightliftin & swimmin. Alex Scott responded saying she's proud of her accent and working-class, east London roots.
