Sangita Myska goes in search of the innovators who think they hold the key to improving the way we live. Jackson Katz believes abuse perpetrated by men against women can be prevented and ended, forever. His idea starts with upending how we see the problem, “Violence against women is in fact a men's issue. The very act of calling rape or domestic violence a women's issue, shifts the focus of accountability and responsibility off of men and puts it onto women - which I consider a subtle form of victim blaming.” His solution involves the bystander approach, where men make misogynist beliefs completely unacceptable. To stress test Jackson’s idea, Sangita is joined by a panel of experts: David Gadd, Professor of Criminology at the University of Manchester, Dr Olumide Adisa, Head of Centre for Abuse Research at the University of Suffolk and Chloe Bustin, Senior Advisor at the Behavioural Insights Team Producer: Sarah Bowen
