Six authors on different continents each take the baton from the preceding writer to reveal something of their own preoccupations during the time of lockdown, before passing it directly to the next. Taking part (in this order) are Dava Sobel in Long Island, New York, Thomas Lynch in Michigan, Okwiri Oduor in Bavaria, Claire-Louise Bennett in Galway, Akash Kapur in the southern Indian township of Auroville, and William Fiennes near Oxford.
