No one likes rejection, but is it possible to inoculate yourself against it? Hayley is a young woman who wants to get better at dealing with rejection and asking for what she wants without fear of No. So, she goes in search of rejections from strangers to explore whether getting rejected a lot makes it easier to deal with. She speaks with facilitator Linda Cockburn about the notion of "rejection therapy," as well as social psychologist Vanessa Bohns, whose research illuminates how we underestimate the difficulty of saying no. She also talks with her friend Max and comedian Alice Fraser about how to transcend rejection and perhaps even learn to embrace it.
