'Exhausted' couple face third no-fault eviction

Available for over a year

For the third time in just over two years, a couple, from Wigston in Leicestershire, have received a Section 21 "no-fault" eviction notice. Currently, landlords can end a tenancy without needing a specific reason, simply by giving at least two months' notice. The Nunnleys' situation has come months before a ban on no-fault evictions in England comes into effect on 1 May. After that date, landlords will still be able to evict tenants but there must be a legal justification, which is called "grounds for possession". For Amanda and Stuart from Wigston, the reality of their third no-fault eviction notice is hitting hard. They spoke to BBC Leicester’s Ady Dayman
