For parents who work, there's some free childcare to be had - how much depends on where you live and the age of your children. You can get up to 30 hours a week in England and Wales, 16 in Scotland, 12 and a half in Northern Ireland. Nurseries say they're struggling to survive because the government funding doesn't cover their costs. The government insists the scheme is working.
