Toys R Us and Maplin both call in the administrators. It's more than a decade since Go Compare came along with a cheesy TV advert, featuring an operatic tenor offering price comparisons. The head of the company tells us if the market still works and gives us his predictions on the future of comparison websites. A supermarket in Amsterdam claims to be the first in the world to have a plastic-free aisle. It contains 700 items, with everything from meat to rice. Are we ready to ditch the plastic? What are the alternatives? We visit Preston in Lancashire where the local authority decided to spend its budget locally to create a better life for local people. Does it work? We talk to a single mother on benefits who was turned away by landlords but has now won a legal victory that could help thousands like her. Is it really possible to write a decent short story using just text messages? Presenter: Winifred Robinson Producer: Pete Wilson.
