John Wilson is joined by the American composer Philip Glass, one of the towering figures of late 20th century classical music. Philip Glass came to prominence in 1976 with the sensational premiere of Einstein of the Beach. He has composed over 25 operas and 30 film scores, including The Hours. As he publishes his memoir, Words Without Music, Glass looks back at his life and how he helped forge a new musical language.
