Now in its second year, Cathy Rentzenbrink discusses the eight books on the shortlist; and Amit Chaudhuri discusses his new novel, Odysseus Abroad. A re-working of the story of Odysseus and Telemachus, it explores the relationship between Ananda, a young man studying literature in 1980s London, and his eccentric uncle Radhesh.
