King John and the Leveson Inquiry

The Long View

Available for over a year

Jonathan Freedland presents the programme which looks at the past behind the present. This week he centres on the Leveson Inquiry and the parallels it has with the 1215 King John Inquiry in which both the King and prime minister are forced to set up and inquiry against their wishes and both inquiries do not go according to plan. In the short term the 1215 inquiry ends in civil war but in the long term it was to establish the laws for local government for the next 800 years, it remains to be seen what will happen when the Leveson Inquiry finally makes its conclusions.
