When Beryl Bainbridge died in July 2010, she left a novel almost completed. The Girl in the Polka Dot Dress draws on a trip she made to America in 1968, the year when Robert Kennedy was assassinated. Sarah Churchwell reviews. Germaine Greer discusses the selection of artwork in Out of Australia: Prints and Drawings from Sidney Nolan to Rover Thomas which is part of the British Museum's Australian Season.
