Nobel-prize winning author Doris Lessing talks about the impact of her novel, The Golden Notebook, in a special programme celebrating the landmark novel. Published in 1962 it became the first fiction book to become a feminist bible. However, she explains why she still gets cross when it is referred to as 'feminist'. Journalist and novelist Melissa Benn, and literary critic Elaine Showalter talk about the impact the novel had on them.
