More to watch!
Posted: Friday, 01 June 2007 |
Landward returns to our screens in a brand new time slot this evening. Among tonight's features are a report on how global warming is affecting Gigha and a look at wine production on mainland Orkney. The series, with new presenter Nick Nairn, starts on BBC Two at 7pm.
Also, just so you know, Island Blogging will be in the capable hands of Patricia for the next week. If you have any queries or comments don’t hesitate to email her at islandblogging@bbc.co.uk and she’ll be happy to help.
Enjoy your weekend. :)

Photos from France!

I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s keen to find out how Lerwick Trevor and Carol are getting on in France! Carol has kindly sent me photos from their meetings and I’m pleased to be able to show you them here!
It’s great to know that Island Blogging is helping to create good friendships. Fair gives you a warm glow, doesn’t it? ;-)

Posted: Wednesday, 06 June 2007 |
We have become aware that several Island Bloggers appear to be having problems with posts and comments. We are looking into it and hopefully normal service will be resumed as soon as possible!

Bloggers are bursting out all over!
Posted: Thursday, 28 June 2007 |
We’ve had a flurry of new bloggers this month - 9 in total – and from across the country too: four from the Northern Isles, three from the Western Isles and two from the Argyll & Clyde islands.
I’m particularly pleased to see new bloggers from Argyll & Clyde but, at the risk of repeating myself, I’d really like to see some more! I know summer is a busy time for a lot of you, but if you’re a regular reader of the blogs please do think about joining us – the registration process is simple and we’d love to hear from you. Who knows, perhaps your island could eventually become as prolific as Luing! ;-)
Of course, new bloggers from the Northern and Western Isles are also very welcome!
If you can help spread the Island Blogging word by sticking up a poster or postcard somewhere in your community (village hall, community notice board, shop, etc) do let me know. Email me at islandblogging@bbc.co.uk and I’ll be happy to send them out to you.
And, of course, June’s not quite over yet. Perhaps we’ll reach the magic ten by the end of Saturday night…
