Announcement Day

Just like to let everyone know that Island Blogging has been nominated for an award in the interactive section of the Celtic Film and Television Festival.

Other BBC nominees include:

The BAFTA-Winning Gaelic song site Aigcridhearciuil

the childrens Fantasy Drama series: Shoebox Zoo

and Colin and Cumberland the combined Welsh and Gaelic learner site.

I just sent them a link and said: "Is the sort of Interactive project you're looking for?"

You can see the site here, Celtic Film Festival and the list of nominees here.
So positive thinking, and the power of prayer required to get us from shortlist to award!

Thanks to everyone who has contributed...

You must be very proud, well done! Do we all get to come to the presentation ceremony? Keeping everything crossed for you. When is it?

Sunny from Arran

Congratulations. We are breaking out the non vintage Cremola Foam at the news. Will your mother be buying a new hat Mike? JD's have some belters in the millinery section. I believe Granny Ellie is an agent.

Does this mean a free jolly for us all to that big island to the south of us? (or east of us- depending where you are).

Herman from Orkney

That's fantastic - hope it doesn't clash with the Fank!

BoB from Lewis

Hearty congrats to Mike, our BBC host, moderator and friend and to all at Blogging Central. Well done. (Don't think it was wise of Calum to let everyone know about GrannieE's being an agent though. It's only a matter of time before the Russians catch on to her fake peat stack spying technology.)
