Hello World!

Welcome to Eday! We are the little island in the middle of the North Isles of Orkney. Population approx 130 and expanding - baby boy born this month and another due early next month. We have beautiful scenery, rich archaeology, an abundance of birds and flora and an interesting community.

Today is the day for the island beach BBQ - temp hopefully in high teens, fog rolling by and the rain gods sent elsewhere. Heatwave - what heatwave???

Watch this space - and if you're a resident - contribute!

Very new at all this - so hoping correct photos will actually appear and not be upside down!

Sundew
