Vancouver Island is especially attractive to people planning to emigrate.
The climate is similar to that of England, but it is milder. The soil is very good for growing wheat and other crops. Potatoes do especially well. Animals are easily reared and thrive well.
The Hudson Bay Company is ready to grant land to anyone from Great Britain or Ireland who wants to settle there.
The next ship for Vancouver Island sails in May 1852.
