Floods prediction
Prediction
Inverness was not prepared for the flash floods on the 7/8 September 2002. Many people didn’t even know they were at risk or that the forecast was for heavy rain. Flooding is hard to predict and flash flooding is almost impossible as it is the intensity of the rain that causes the floods. In Scotland different organisations work together to forecast the weather and the effects the weather may have.

Select the organisation you wish to find out about and discover how they are involved in predicting floods.
