RED NOSE DAY 2026
Radio 1’s Longest Ride with Greg James for Red Nose Day

This Red Nose Day, Radio 1 presenter Greg James takes on his most gruelling and absurd challenge yet: cycling 1000kms across the UK in 8 arduous days. Oh, and he’ll be doing it all on a tandem!
Whilst Greg is no stranger to Comic Relief challenges, Radio 1’s Longest Ride will throw him truly out of his comfort zone as he takes on the longest challenge and furthest distance ever completed by a Radio 1 challenger.
From his start line in Weymouth on 13th March, Greg will need every ounce of physical and mental strength to keep pedalling as his journey takes him through Wales, the Midlands and the North of England, to his finish line in Edinburgh on Friday 20 March – Red Nose Day itself.
Greg won’t be facing the hills, bumps and byways of Britain totally alone. He’ll be joined by some surprise guests at points along the route to show the power of simply being connected.
Greg wants to dedicate this challenge to anyone who feels like they’re carrying life’s load on their own. At a time when life can feel harder and more disconnected than ever, Greg’s challenge is about coming together and turning collective effort into real, positive change.
Take Yourself Funny for Money this Red Nose Day

Red Nose Day takes place on Friday 20 March!
We all need a laugh more than ever because, quite honestly, the world feels a lot right now. Which is why this year, we’re going back to basics: helping people get what they need to eat, sleep and feel safe. All you have to do is turn to the daft side and Take Yourself Funny for Money.
We’re kicking off the silliness in style… to show everyone how it’s done, rugby favourite and Traitors star, Joe Marler, Lioness icon Jill Scott and Tia Kofi have thrown themselves into some brilliantly ridiculous scenes. Take a sneak peak here.
Then, on 20 March from 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer, the TV show, Comic Relief: Funny for Money, takes over for the BBC’s biggest night of comedy and entertainment of the year. Expect huge laughs, surprise stunts and unforgettable presenting debuts from Catherine Tate’s Nan, Katherine Ryan and Nick Mohammed, alongside familiar favourites including Davina McCall and Joel Dommett.
Design-Yer Nose

You can also get involved right now with this year’s Red Nose collection, tried and tested by Claudia Winkleman, Joe Lycett and Rosie Jones.
It includes the first ever Design-Yer Nose - this year’s Nose is a blank canvas – so grab your markers, stickers and paint, and make it gloriously your own. Go chic and minimalist or brilliantly over-the-top, but whatever you do, express yourself!.
It also includes an exclusive collaboration with world-famous artist Mr Doodle, available to buy now on Amazon, the official home of the Nose. So pop on a Nose, tune in and Take Yourself Funny for Money.
Because simple acts of silliness can make a serious difference.

Why your support matters

It's not just about getting the laughs - it’s about doing something laugh-changing. It’s money for the unfunny stuff we take for granted like food, shelter, not living in fear.
Across the UK and around the world, more and more people are struggling with the basics - eating regularly, sleeping safely, living without fear. Your support helps local organisations rooted in communities, working with people who need urgent help today, and hopeful change tomorrow.
Eat. Sleep. Feel safe.
