IMPACT OF RECESSION ON HEALTH INEQUALITIES Laurie Taylor is joined by Mel Bartley, Professor of Medical Sociology at University College London Medical School, and Andrew Oswald, Professor of Economics at Warwick University to discuss the personal and psychological consequences of unemployment in the light of the current global recession.
YOUTH CULTURE Dr David Fowler, author of a new book entitled Youth Culture in Modern Britain, c1920-c.1970, talks about the meaning of ‘youth culture’. He contends that authentic youth movements have a philosophy and way of life; they do not simply celebrate consumerism and popular music.
