DANIEL DERONDA & DR ZHIVAGO
George Eliot's Daniel Deronda and Boris Pasternak's Dr Zhivago go head-to-head this Sunday. Historian Matthew Sweet and critic Natasha Walter assess who might win the race.

Daniel Deronda (a 3 part adaptation) begins this Saturday at 8.55pm on BBC1, and Dr Zhivago (also 3 parts) beings on Sunday at 9pm on ITV1

THE AUTOPSY
Tonight the first public autopsy since 1830 will be carried out by Professor van Hagens. It will be televised in front of an audience and shown on Channel 4 later this evening. Francine Stock is joined by Dr Jonathan Miller to discuss the issues, and talks to Simon Andreae, commissioning editor at Channel 4 resonsible for THE AUTOPSY.
