Writer and critic, Margaret Busby talks to Mark Lawson about the play King Hedley II by American playwright, August Wilson

King Hedley II is at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre until 30 November, then transfers to the Tricycle Theatre in London.

8 MILE
Curtis Hanson, director of hip-hop star Eminem's new film 8 Mile, talks to Mark Lawson about this new venture.

8 Mile had its UK premiere at the London Film Festival on November 15th, and goes general release around the country in January.

ROYAL GOLD MEDAL FOR ARCHITECTURE
Paul Hyett, president of the Royal Institute of British Architecture talks to Mark Lawson about the most prestigious award in British architecture, the Royal Gold Medal for Architecture. This year the medal is to be presented to Archigram, a 1960s London-based collective of architects.

The Gold Medal presentation takes place tomorrow night at the Royal Institute of British Architects, London W1.

BILL VIOLA
British galleries have complained that they can no longer afford to make new acquisitions, but the Tate has come up with a solution. Together with the Pompidou Centre in Paris and the Whitney in New York, the Tate has split the cost of a video installation by the American artist Bill Viola. Art market expert Godfrey Barker joins Mark Lawson.
