BACKGROUND
The concept of the little song bird as related in the folk music of three English-speaking countries. First is three young Canadian songbirds (Frazey Ford, Samantha Parton, and Trish Klein), the Be Good Tanyas, singing The Littlest Bird Sings the Sweetest Song. This is followed by an old English group, the Rolling Stones, and their homage to a Little Red Rooster. The last song is the Little Red Hen by a US singer/songwriter, Malvina Reynolds.

Nice list, but one detail: the main vocal on the BGT tune is actually by Jolie Holland (founder and former member BGT). Another version on her own 'Catalpa' CD [Anti] worth checking. Regards.
