BACKGROUND
All the musicians featured here are female, British and very talented. I feel there is a spirit and integrity common to all of them. Alison Stephens (mandolin) and Lauren Scott (harp) make up Duo Mandala and this beautiful, evocative track was written for them by Paul Mitchell Davidson. I love Piazzola's music and this version of Libertango by Joanna MacGregor is exceptionally good. The final track is a medley of 3 fiddle tunes written by Nancy Kerr in the bathroom, apparently.
