At a time when World Debt is being talked about by anybody and everybody, at a time when Western musicians are trying to stop poverty in Africa, I thought it appropriate to remind people of the wonderful music that its artists produce. I could have chosen tracks from different countries and of wildly different styles but as I could only choose three tracks I decided to go with Mali as, in my opinion, it is home to some of the finest musicians on the planet. While none of these artists are as widely recognised as the likes of U2 (oh, if only!) I am 100% sure that any Late Junction presenter will have heard of them so I will save giving unnecessary information on them. Thank you Late Junction for the finest show on the waves!
