Album: Bella Terra

BACKGROUND
A quick trip to the Iberian peninsula for three bits of music that seem to be influenced by outside sources, whether it be African or Middle Eastern.
Faltriqueira have a hazy, timeless quality on this heavily percussive track.
The Portuguese composer Braga Santos describes the 2nd movement of his 5th Symphony as evoking the marimba players of Mozambique.
Arianna Savall, daughter of a famous father much beloved of Late Junction, conjures up a ravishing melody on the simply gorgeous L'Amor.
