BACKGROUND
Put two musicians together and what do you get? Seamless empathy or a competitive duel? On "Kayoo", John Marshall limbers up on his drum kit before being joined on "The Camden Tandem" by John Etheridge's raw but fantastically controlled guitar though at times it's difficult to judge who is leading who. Not so difficult with Jukka Tolonen and Coste Apetrea on "Lama" as they settle into a Django-esque groove amicably trading notes and phrases. And it's seemingly even easier for Ian Ballantine's vibes and Frank Dawkins' guitar on "Danielle" where the two instruments answer eachother in a gentle, silky smooth ballad.
