BACKGROUND
Three of the most important artists in popular culture. Off kilter, difficult to describe, feelings of loss, but also beauty. The tracks are connected also by a bird motif: Hermann is composing for a moment in the film when Norman is secretly peeping through from the room of stuffed birds into Marion Crane's motel room; Mitchell is writing about the not so sweet bird of youth; and Walker starts his lyric with a description of a swan's flight and ends with a lonely declaration of love. (In between he quotes Lauren Bacall's most famous screen moment!)
