New students from Northern Ireland can apply for a Maintenance Grant.

Household Income 08/09 = How much grant?

Between £18,361 and £39,305 = partial grant
Over £39,305 = no grant

Extra help:

Students in receipt of the full maintenance grant can apply for extra financial help in the form of a bursary from the university or college they attend.

A Special Support Grant is available for some new students who receive income support or other means-tested benefits such as housing benefit.
