Cathy Snell's Guide to Swansea
Last Updated 13 June

Cathy and mate"The Kingsway is the main street in Swansea for clubs. Some of the best clubs in Wales are situated on this road."

About Me:
Hi my name is Cathy and I'm 17 years old. I'm a student at Swansea College where I'm studying I.T. and I am a bank worker part time. Most weekends I am in Swansea spending all my hard earned cash. My hobbies are keeping fit and martial arts. My favourite Radio 1 DJ is Sara Cox who I listen to on my way to college in the mornings.

The City:
Swansea is a hectic city but has it's quiet spots. It really comes to life when the sun goes down.

Eating Out:
Swansea offers a large range of different places to eat to suit all tast buds. There are the typical fast food restaurants like Burger King and McDonalds, but also has restaurants such as Starving Jaks, Baugette DeJouir and Spudulike which offer a healthy range of food. Most of the pubs do pub meals which are all very, very tasty. For a more spicy taste bud, The Karma is a new Indian Restaurant on the Mumbles Road and Redezvous is a Chinese restaurant with a very unique look.

Pubs:
The best place for pubs is Wind Street (pronounced Wine) which is lined with top pubs such as the Auzzie bar Walkabout, Icebar which is famous for its poll dancers and The Bank Statement which is brilliant for cheap drinks. Also, The Square and Indigo are famous for their cocktails and vodka shots.

"The residents of Swansea are happy people who really know how to party. If you visit Swansea this weekend, you'll know what I mean."

Clubs:
The Kingsway is the main street in Swansea for clubs. Some of the best clubs in Wales are situated on this road such as Escape, where many top DJs visit, Jumpin' Jaks for live music, Club Uropa for the best trance music, and Time & Envy which are two different clubs but you can access both.

Hotels and B&B's:
Swansea's best hotel has to be the Mariott Hotel. I don't know much about the Hotel but it is very luxurious. There is also a top hotel overlooking the marina. The Mumbles road is lined with B&B's which have a brilliant view of Swansea Bay.

Shopping:
Swansea's main street for shopping is Oxford Street with a few roads leading off to other shops. No traffic is allowed down these roads during opening hours, plus all the shops are together for easy access

People:
The residents of Swansea are happy people who really know how to party. If you visit Swansea this weekend, you'll know what I mean.
