Red Hot Chili Peppers Interviews

Anthony talked about touring life, the songs they're playing and reveals which fellow Chili he finds most attractive...

"I can't sleep so well for about 3 nights before a show when we haven't played for months on end. It's the same thing as 20 years ago when we had club shows and I literally wouldn't be able to sleep the night before and, if I could sleep, I'd have dreams about the show..."


Flea and ZaneFlea
Flea talked about pre-gig rituals, the different setlists and the music he's listening to at the moment...

"An hour before show time I have a series of scales, I warm up my bass, I play my trumpet a little bit and then I have a prayer meditation thing that I do. Then I hang out with the guys for about 10 minutes and we do a circle, hold hands, and connect with eachother... and then we go and play!"


Chad and ZaneChad
Chad talked about the huge numbers of people they're playing to and the forthcoming souvenir live cd...

"We're just lucky to be in a position to be able to have people like that - The Pixies, the legendary James Brown. It makes it a more entertaining bill for people to come and see us - good bang for your entertainment buck!"

"That feeling that comes from the audience... I didn't realise how much I needed it. The second I was back on stage I felt like a different person, I felt relaxed again and felt an affection or love that I don't have elsewhere in my life."
