Matt Brown
I didn't feel that Anthony Keidis wanted to be onstage tonight(Friday 25th June) And Chad didn't give me enough emotion. He played some intro's in his "solo" bit, including "We Will Rock You
Fluff
I was at Hyde Park on Saturday night and I have such great memories that will stay with me for a long time. Undoubtably the best is my boyfriend proposing to Under the Bridge! (I said yes) All in all a fantastic day.
Tom Woodhouse
Just like on the Slane Castle DVD-amazing! Flea is the best bassist in the world (apart from me!). 19th June rocked. Thanks Chilis, you are the best band ever!
Ant

It's Official - RHCP are my fav band! Went to Hyde Park on Sat - totally wicked. Since the gig, when I hear a Chillies tune I get goosebumps. Thought James Brown was very average.
Rich the Zeppo Man
I felt bad that chicks on speed got booed of but it was hilarious. Watching a woman paint on her face knitting?! not the best entertainment. Chilis Rocked but should have been on longer. what happened to Suck my Kiss???? Still totally worth it.
laur xxxx
Saw them in murrayfield stadium and they were soooo fantastic when they came on i seriosly couldnt breathe i was there with my best mate right at the front and it was absolutely fantastic. The best gig iv bin to EVER and will probably stay that way till they come back! hint hint guys! Love u all, RHCPs forever! hope everyone else who went enjoyed it as much as me x x
Tom
I was at the Sat 19th Hyde Park Concert. Was awesome, but could have been so much better. All the acts were let down by the poor sound system and the number of losers who were just there to chuck bottles at each other (you're not a fan if you're more interested in chucking bottles at the camera man than the chili's playing 'by the way' infront of you!!!!)
Louis B
Sunday night. Well worth it. Chilies, wow. Few more songs next time. AND TURN IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!
Becky
I saw them at Hyde Park on Sunday and it ruled!! Flea did backflips with his bass!! John sang Maybe!! It was the greatest gig ever!!
Simon Andrews
I was standing up front on the Sunday Hyde Park show, and WOW!!! What an atmosphere! I heard Radio 1 play By The Way live from Sunday, and it gave me goose bumps, made my neck tingle and filled me up with adrenaline again! That Sunday night made my 2004!!
Katie Sampson
travelled all the way from cornwall to go to see chillis in hyde park on the 19th and it was well worth it!thy are great preformers and was not disapppointed.i loved their new song that they played along with scar tisue and my lovely man to name a few.cant wait to see them again!!

the chili peppers we awsome they ruled 1 of the best gigs iv been to.flea is a legend but not to sure about his trumpet solo what was going on there.......the druming was gd when they came back on stage......they rule.peace out
Ali - Cambridge
Sun 20th Hyde Park - WOW what a fab night!!! Had excellent view well worth paying that extra to get in the reserved standing. Felt bit sorry for Chicks on Speed but then again what do you expect when you come on stage with no guitars. Bottle throwing bit uncalled for though. James Brown and his entourage were amazing and certainly got us warmed up for the RHCPs. RHCPs - what can I say - they were Brilliant certainly well worth waiting in the rain for and as for Anthony what a gorgeous bod! Hope to see you next year Chilis xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Laura smaura maura
Saw chilis on sunday in hyde park-orgasmic!!felt jus slightly surreal at the time.cudnt believe it was actually them(helped by the fact that i cudnt see a thing!)HUGE thanku to the beautiful boy who gave me a shoulder to sit on for under the bridge-a beautiful song and just an amazing moment.xx
ciaran waters
saw the chilli's on sunday night at hyde park, absolutely outstanding. they put on a hell of a show. the weather was disapointing but the chilli's made up for it. well worth the money. please tour again!!
Michelle Gregory
I am gutted that the concert has been and gone...having looked for ward to it for so long! Thought the chilis were amazing. Just wished they had played longer as a few faves were missing [especially soul to squeeze] Thanks to all the chilis fans who made the pubs of London a great place to be on Saturday. Met a whole bunch of really nice people. When's the DVD out..................?
mark
saw the chilis at hyde park on the sunday and for someone who has seen oasis 4 times the chilis blew them away ......... the best band in the world, john rocks just wish flea had played his trumpet, best gig i have seen and james brown how cool, thanks guys
Lizzy Hand
The gig on sunday was amazing beyond words. I thought they were fantastic they really gave it evrything they had. I can't believe how good they are live. Hyde Park was packed out beyond belief. i will defnetly go and see them again. Chilis you are the BEST!!! No Doubt thanks for the great time. Under The Bridge was performed so well. Thanks again guys. I LOVE U GUYS
allison
saw the chilis at manchester last friday.
what a show best one i've been to ever, they were as rockin as ever all the good stuff was played. The hour walk there & home was well worth it. cant wait 'til they come back
Jesska
I saw RHCPs on teh 19th at HydePArk. They were absolutely amazing. the concert was great everyone was lovely, it was a fantastic experiance, and I am even more in Love with Anthony Kiedis now. The msuic was great, they played some of my favorite songs, and I got almost to the barrier, was squashed and pushed by about eighty thousand people and had an amazing time.
Carlo Cappalonga
It was absolutely fantastic last night, they opened with Can't Stop (one of my fav's) and flea and john's mini jamming sessions were awesome!!
Robin
Having only ever been to see Feeder at Brixton Academy, i was blown away by the scale of it all at Hyde Park on Sunday. Loved the new song the chili's played, amazing.Even better, I missed chicks on speed and ALL the rain!! Haha!!
Thea The Wise
Just listened back to last nights performance, WOW. 'Give It Away' was the highlight for me. The soul king himself...James 'im a sex machine' Brown, was the perfect man to prepare us for what was to come...he even stopped the rain, what a legend. Chicks on speed "WE DONT PLAY GUITARS" HAHAhahahAHhaa LOooooosers!!
Mike Ackland
I saw them at Hyde Park Sunday night and it was the most amazing evening. I kinda feel sorry for 'chicks on speed' because they shouldn't have been playing at an event like that. James Brown was wicked, he got us going, maybe I didn't appreciaite him enough though because I just couldn't wait for the chilis to come on. I sang my heart out to every song, 'by the way' really got me going and 'give it away' ended the night perfectly! I had an experience of a lifetime and thanks radio 1 online for helping me to re-live it!
Danny W
Sorry to be the party pooper but are you only printing the good reviews? The Chilis were undoubtedley excellent but I thought they could have funked it up more with more tracks from Blood, Sugar.....The day was slightly marred by the fact that there were only 2 bars to cover for 80,000 people and Flea telling the crowd to "F- You!", in response to the boos for Chicks On Speed was really out of order considering we'd forked out a lot of money to see his band and what should have been decent support. Good, but not that good....sorry.
Mickey Jones Leicester
Chillis and james Brown were rubbish I went to see chicks on speed and they were awesome! Cheers for the great memories!
Dave
I saw chili's on Friday at the City Of Manchester Stadium, Chicks On Speed were Booed of stage, they were dreadful "we don't play guitars" awful song! Jimmy brown was totally awesome! Then the chili's, well what can be said?! They were fantastic, amazing, mind-blowing etc, Frusciante was superb. We all got called faschists by anthony for booing chicks on speed, and told us to open our minds! Whole day was ace! Thanks RHCP!
Cat Symons
Never experienced anything like it. One band bringing over 200,000 people to one place..its fantastic! I saw them on the Saturday and then listened to them on the Sunday and I cant say how good it was! The encore was amazing! Under the Bridge and ending with Give It Away, couldn't have been better! My favourite song Scar Tissue was played and the whole event made my weekend. James Brown, Soul Man rocked the park. Shame about Chicks on Speed though...
Louise, Norfolk
Saw the RHCP on Saturday in Hyde Park. Better than any other concert I have been to. 'Chicks' weren't too bad, but didn't suit what the crowd wanted. James Brown Rock'd, he is a classic. I thought the Chilli Peppers sounded better than their CD's!!!! Much more 'Rockier'. I loved it and would loved to see them again.
kirstin kelly
Hyde Park Sat awfull! I've seen the chilis 5 times now but the organisers let them down on this one. The sound was dredfull, the screens to low i could see a thing, the q for beer was 1 1/2 hours long , & before that you had to q for a beer token!! The most badly organised event i've ever been to. Incredibly disappointed. Please publish this!
scott shaw
i went to see the chilis at manchester and they were absolutely amazing. Well worth the £35 quid i paid. the onl;y downside was i missed the train homje and had to sleep at Manchester Picadilly station. All part of the adventure i suppose. If u get the chance to see them, go for it!!
I did beleive the gig at hyde park was poor tho in comparrison to manchester!!
Davina
I got completely soaked by the rain, and was freezing cold for the rest of the day, but it really didn't matter. Best gig I've ever been to. James Brown was fantastic too. The Chilli Peppers are beyond cool
Andrew
Was I the only one who thought the sound was terrible?
One minute it sounded good and then the sound just disappeared as though it had blown away in the wind. Having said that their performance was top draw! They are a class act.
Helen
I was at Hyde Park on Saturday the 19th and it was just phenomenal! There really aren't the words to describe it. My friends and I were lucky enough to be right at the front and the atmosphere was just amazing. When the whole crowd started singing Scar Tissue I had tears in my eyes, it was that good! Thank you so much Chili Peppers, that was one night of my life that I will never ever forget! x
Jonny P
Saw the Chilis last nite (Sunday) and they were class, played all their best tunes. The intro from Tranmission by Joy Division was cool(just before Right on Time)- i just wish they had covered the whole song, wouldve loved to have heard that! Wicked gig tho, James Brown was off the hook too. Dope!
Will, Rob, Josh, Jony, Jak, Rose, Hana, P, Kirsty,
o my lord!! the chilis have to be one of the greatest bands eva!! they really did rock on saturday!! just couldnt get enough of the sexiness of flea!! he really did kick arse, ants voice jus rock like a god! jonh was jus being a plain minx!! and as for chad he was wikid!! loved the drum solo!!!never forget that night!! hope u come bak next year guys!! u know you want to!! the respones from the crowd u got was to good!! you have to come back!! we love chilis foreva!!!! but when u come bak next year bring bak james brown (ledgen) but dont bring back chicks on speeed (losers. people who couldnt get there u misssed out big time!! love you CHILIS!!x x x
Leigh
Time.. Sunday, Local.. Hyde park.. Gig.. the best for a long time. Chili's were awsome. Tight and up for it. Big screen show was the best I have seen. The crowd were great. Flea was on fire, they all rocked. Biggest beer que I have seen.....
Matt
Chicks on speed are probably good at what they do (although what that is i couldn't work out!), but what did they expect when playing their own...interesting style in front of 80,000+ funk rockers? Didn't matter though as the godfather of soul soon made me forget bout them! And chili's, like a fine wine, they seem to get better with age! Awesome show! Long live the funk rock kings!
Jen Simmonds
The date: Sunday 20th June.
The venue: Hyde Park.
The info: Withholding profanities, its was blimmin brilliant. The best gig I have been to for a long time. Felt sorry for Chicks on Speed, they had some good baselines, bottle throwing was probably unnecessary. Certainly made an interesting start. James Browne was god-like. RHCP - I am totally honoured to of been there. The played at their best, I could of listened to Flea and John jamming all night. Top class stuff. Thank you.
Chloé Ellis
Living in Jersey its really rarely that I get to see live music, no big bands ever play on this little rock so going to see my favourite band play at Hyde park was absolutely amazing. I felt really bad for chicks on speed but James Brown live up to his title the Godfather of Soul and really got the crowd going. The Chilis were completely amazing, if i could only afford it I would see every show they did, as it stands this was a once in a life time exprience and certainly did not disappoint, the show was amazing, visually as well and having, at that moment, something in common with 100000 other people is an amazing feeling! me and my best friend were lucky enough to be right at the barrier and it was worth every second of waiting 9 hours for, being squashed into railings and bruising a couple of ribs! thank you so much! This band rocks on CD, but it kicks even more ass live.xx jerseygirl
Traxman
Hyde Park + 85000 people + RCHP + James Brown - Chix on Speed =
An awesome day out!!
Louise Howell
All 10 of us were looking forward to the saturday 19 june concert at Hyde Park, but we all left very disappointed. We were close to the front of the stage and could hardly hear the concert. We have never seen so many dis-interested people at a concert before. The poor quality of the sound system let the whole event down. We left before the end as it was pointless staying as we were unable to hear anything. As we were walking up to the exit at the very back, all I can say is thank god we were not standing there as you could not hear a thing. At a concert like this you expect it to be load and everyone getting into the concert and not being able to have a conversation with anyone around you due to the noise level, but we all experienced the total opposite. This is the worse concert we all have ever experienced!
tom and esme
we saw them at hyde park yesterday and the day before and it has to be said that they do rock the world they are all such gods!!! best gig ever!!!
Greg Walker
I saw the Chillis on June 19th at Hyde Park. One word... Brilliant!!
Well done guys!
ze ron*
absolutely blindin. one of, if not the best, live groups i hav ever seen. hurry up back
Simon Hepworth
Awesome gig. Chicks on speed sunk quicker then the Titanic. They were the only low point to the whole gig. The one and only James Brown lived up to his ever glowing reputation and the best for last. The Chilli Peppers were timeless. Excellent live and people that didnt get tickets missed the best show on earth!!
Ann Cammack
I have seen a few bands ...but this was the best ever...the Chilli's were awesome. I still can't quite believe it !!
Kelly Cornwell
WOW! I went to London last night to see the Chili's. I had to stand in pouring rain, (three times!) but it was all worth it bcoz the Red Hot Chili Peppers were totally banging, and Anthony took his top off at the start of 'Give It Away', and I nearly had a bloody heart attack!
Annie Pye
Saw them at Hyde Park on Saturday night. They are truely amazing live and it was undoubtedly one of the best nights of my life.
Ned Chambers
That gig was the best i have been to and that i will have been to in a long time. John was god-like when he solo'd, and Flea's intro to Around The World was better than ever. Thanks for broadcasting the performance. However i have one criticism - i heard a new song, something like "change" or "shame", and i was hoping to hear it in the broadcast - however it was not included.
Ceri
Saw RHCP at Manchester on friday. 1st gig I've been to. Chicks on speed got booed off stage so Anthony called us faschists.Ended up on me bum a couple of times but well worth it. Fantastic
Brian Bignell
Hyde Park, Sun 20th was absolutely awesome. First time I've seen them live... knocked off my feet! The Chili's were just unreal. The crowd was great... some funny moments.. nice surfing. Got home at 6am Mon morning after 5 hr drive back to Southport (nr Liverpool). Chicks On Speed were booooooed off stage and had a bad attitude. They stormed off claiming that they were 'too good for this crowd'!!!. James Brown was great. CHILI'S WERE FANTASTIC.
J.B.
i am an american and therefore couldn't actually attend one of these gigs...but this was so awesome and mind-blowing (10 times better than slane) that i can't even describe it. they really had their act together. can't wait to see what they do next!
Big Al
James Brown, Ace. The Chilli's were brilliant, best gig I've been to in years even though it rained. Just loose Chicks on speed!
shirl
totally awesome! I've never been to a chili peppers concert but now I absolutely must go after hearing this concert. thank you so much BBC radio 1. i live in the US and you've allowed me to listen to this great concert plus those awesome interviews. it's the next best thing to being there...thank you rock on, peppers!!!! - shirl-
Pierce MacMahon
I saw the chilis in manchester on the 18th and they were amazing. I had pretty high expectations after seeing the slane castle dvd and they managed to go so much further. As a drummer I have to mention chad's performance, musically excellent and the drum solo was in a league of its own. Overall a top day out.
Jak Donnelly
There is no description of the Chili Peppers. They are life... Period. The Murrayfield gig was absolutely incredible, the 3rd time i saw them. They are more than music.
colin teddy bear

PePPeRoNi
I saw the on Saturday and they rocked so much, really missed them since last time I saw them in Glasgow Green. Nice performance and energy, setlist was very interesting, old songs, new songs, covers. Great show guys. C ya on Friday
Brian (the mad Scot)
Saw the chillis on Saturday at Hyde Park - they kicked ass! Much better than at Reading a few years ago. Looks like they are back on top form again. Choice.
Jamie
Saw the Chili's live for the first time last night. Managed to get front centre, against the barrier (reserved standing section). James Brown was quality and the Chili's were amazing. Best songs last night probably were Under the Bridge, give it Away and Californication. Brilliant Experience. A night to remember.
Chris
Chilis were amazing on sat! Chicks well i feel sorry for them but i didnt like them, i was a little annoyed that flea kinda dissed us for booing but we are all entitled to our opinion? they were so amazing i couldnt belive it and james brown * Legend*
Sam
i saw the chilis at hyde park on saturday,,best show ive ever been to,they sound even better live!!! you guys sounded SOOOOO amazing!! thanx for the great memories i'll have!! love you xx
Vic
All other concerts will have to try pretty hard to beat this bench mark of a show. Chicks On Speed was a harsh contrast to all the funk and sole that the crowds were expecting but they were err, interesting. The evening really kicked of with the pensioner of sole him self James Brown. Then, after a long day of waiting, they came on. Flea's trumpet solo blew me away but the whole set was amazing most of the classics and a couple of new ones entertained us for what seamed like a second. It turned out the aching legs and sun burnt neck was worth it.
only if they had played a dozen more songs ah well maybe next tour.
Phil Leung
Bloody class. I was groovin along like a mad man. All my fave songs were played. Specially Otherside. For some reason not that many people got excited about that :S aghhh who cares. their loss. but bloody brill!!! chicks on speed wern't that bad! some good beats. felt bad for em being boooed off
Michael
I saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers in Dublin at Phoienix Park, i wish i could have been at Hyde Park, maybe it will be out on DvD?
Chad Smith is a fantastic drummer! Chilis ROCK!!!!
cliveyx
Supernatural levels of ability. I saw them at edinburgh and already the set has evolved. Many people will not have noticed the level of improvised stuff they are knocking out. When Flea and John talk about their love of Jazz music. it does not prepare you for the fact that they will be prepared to risk the reputation of the band in order to improvise. It`s paying off though. For real music lovers there is nothing else out there like this.
Juan Ibanez
i was at the gig on the 19th - was completely blown amay by the scale of the show - was dissapointed by chicks on speed haha - it was fun nonetheless and the chili peppers were amazing! By FAR THE BEST GIG I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!
Richard 'Toe' McCarthy
i saw the chilis live at the mcfc stadium in manchester...they rockec it down to its foundations. those guys well and truly rule.
Matthew Heery
I saw the Chilis at Paris and they were un-utterably immense. The Funk was well and truly present. Their new song-Rolling Slystone was incredible as were My Lovely Man, Get On Top, The ending Jam and as always John Frusciantes guitar work! Excellent stuff from the Good Time Boys!!!
Carly Seymour
I went to see RHCP Yesterday at Hyde park and thought they were amazing. It was the first ever big gig i'd been to and i still cant get over seeing them! They all have so much energy.Ive got the Live at Slane dvd but it was nothing compared to actually being there.I wasnt too inpressed with "chicks on speed" but i dont think anyone was!Lol Red hot chili peppers no1 fan xxx
Flávia Kiedis
The show had to be longer, I want mooooore chili peppers!! And they have to go to Brazil!!! Love them forever, chili kisses**
scot watson
