Post-club grub, lunchtime pit-stops, morning-after nosh or just plain old dinner - we've got it all in our unique guide to eating out in Derry - written by hungry Derry folk!
The Ballymac Fryer
Situated in ghetto of Derry but well worth the risk. Good entertainment provided by the local youths of the area as they regularly put on a good motor show followed by late night hammer throwing. But back to the food which is very cheap and cheerful: 3 sausages, 2 bags of chips, curry and a litre bottle of coke for 99p

If you're lookin for a top class feed ye can't look further than a chicken box from Busty's in Galliagh. Bear in mind it's a local shop for local people but if you turn up in a stolen car with a Kappa tracksuit on you'll fit right in.

noffin cures da munchies after a night on da town like a Paolos PIzza...shockin!!!!!!!!

On yer way from town de Prehen the last chippy (beside the bridge) sells scotchers. These are the only good scotchers in Derry, and ye can buy them by the dozen. Buy three if ye are walking, and ye should be jist finishing by the time ye git de Prehen.(10 mins). All because the ladies love scotch eggs.

Derry has some nice places to eat out. For a beautiful chinese meal with very attentative and cute staff is the mandarin palace on the waterfront. The ice wharf for a nice cheap dinner is always gud. The exchange is quite nice but they seem to rush around alot. The gallery in the waterside is gorgeous and really friendly for food and then there is a club next door to head when your finised. Somewhere nice for lunch is a new restaurant called quay west, its beautiful and modern...like something out of sex and the city..ohh and the food is delicious. Or if ur lookin for a quick snack we have our local bars serving grub during the day and check out the sandwich company for beautiful sandwiches and coffee and friendly staff!!!
