You can't live on music alone so take a look at our gastronomic highlights written by food loving Mancunians. And if you know a great gaff we've not heard of tell us all about it!
Abid Hussain: What are we talking about? There is no other place IN THE WORLD where you can get a curry or Kebab like you can on Wilmslow Road, Rusholme, The Curry Mile. £3.00 will buy you the best Chicken Kebab of your life, with quality salad, chutneys, peppers and more than most people can eat. The best? As a born and bred Asian-Mancunian I'd say Laal Qilla, or Sajaan.
Chud:Karims aint in Manchester centre (it's near Middleton) but it is fantastic. You pay a tenner and eat all you can. They have Pakistan, Indian, Chinese, some Italian and some English. I once stayed here 4 ages - from when they opened till when they shut (I didn't eat for a week after tho!)."
Emma Morton: "I'd recommend Primavera, the only Italian resturant in Fallowfield and to my knowledge the only one with a dwarf waiter...I kid you not."
Ashley Morgan: "For take-aways Monsoons (Oxford Road) is something of a legend and the quality of food is extremely high. Serving traditional English and Indian dishes, it's safe and well lit and lies on the busiest bus corridor in Europe."
Leanne Frank: "Best chippy in Manchester is Rainbow Chippy on the Wilbraham Rd/ Yew Tree Rd Junction. But if you want some good soul food, the place to be is Alvinos, in Moss Side (It's not as bad as everyone makes out!)"
