Manchester Pubs and Bars Manchester has no end of watering holes to suit all tastes. Check out what Radio 1 listeners recommended and if you know somewhere better tell us about it!
Greg Ormson: "You've got to visit the Temple of Convenience on Great Bridgewater Street. This pub is a tad small as it used to be a public toilet! Never seen a pub like it anywhere else but it's got a top atmosphere and a great juke box."
Emma Lewis: "BEDbar and TRIbeca are a must (just off Canal st) where you can sip your cocktail whilst lying in bed - what more can you ask for?!?!"
Dave Gregory: "The Roadhouse is another good little venue and home to the north west heats of the Air Guitar championships, superb."
Michelle Zenner: "Fab Cafe - Portland Street - loving this place! If the dancing gets a little much, lean back and cop an eyeful of the retro films on offer, from the Goonies to the Lost Boys. Free entry, a slightly older crowd and retro paraphanalia help bring back the memories."
Vanessa Leslie: "If you want something a little more classy then go to Deansgate Locks. It contains a string of bars like Loaf, which has a club downstairs which plays laid back chilled out music. Bar Baa, plays chart dance music and has great drinks offers. The Sugar Lounge is very VIP - after 9pm you need to be on the guest list or a member, but it's great once you're in there - ask Posh n Becks!"
Paul Towers "Wow i have been to many gigs and festivals but the Stripes blew the roof off that tent. I was impressed by the crowds reactions to Feeder playing some of the old stuff..."
