The Darkness get emotional at the Brits

The big winners at last night's Brit Awards (Tuesday) were The Darkness, who picked up three out of the four prizes they were nominated for - Best Group, Best Album and Best Rock.

They did a great performance at the end but they didn't spend much time backstage as they were heading straight off to Germany.

We chased the band as they hurried out of the arena, and they told us how they felt:

"The third award, we weren't really expecting it, so that was amazing, Two would have been a bonus but three is just amazing. We're all very happy and surprised and we're going to get very drunk!"

And for Justin it was all a bit too much:

"Awesome! I'm a bit teary and all that. As emotional as I've been in this game.

Justin keeps it brief

It wasn't just The Darkness who were in a rush - when Justin Timberlake came backstage he didn't stop to chat, unlike last year, as his people told us he didn't have time.

But he did give us this reaction to winning Best International Male and Best Album:

"It was awesome - awesome!"

50 Cent goes all new romantic

Simon Le Bon from Duran Duran introduced himself to 50 Cent backstage and told him he loved his records.

And believe it or not, 50 was equally gushing about Simon and admitted he's quite a fan:

"Duran - the legends - Duran! I really enjoyed their performance tonight."

"People would be surprised that I listen to that kind of music but that's it right there, that's the real music, that's how you know what kind of music the masses will embrace."

So then we had to ask 50 if he was a new romantic:

"Yeah! Hugs and kisses - you think I don't like that?! I love women!"
