Amy Winehouse gets honest
Last updated 13 January 2004

Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse is up for Best British Female Solo Artist and Best British Urban Act in this year's Brit Awards.

The 20 year-old jazz/soul star is fairly new to fame but already has some strong opinions on who should and shouldn't be named Best British Female:

"I really want Jamelia to come through this year, and I would much prefer her to get in than someone like Dido."

"If you don't change your music and change yourself and so on there's not many places you can go."

"I'm just being honest with you, you know. I try and say as little as possible about these things because I am an honest girl and I will put my foot in my mouth!"
