It's no coincidence that you can't get a table in a restaurant in Ibiza during the Radio 1 Weekend.

You can't park your car, there's no room by the pool and the taxi queues are larger than those in the Privilege car park.

Since 1995 the Radio 1 Ibiza Weekend has become the secret Bank Holiday traditional calendars don't acknowledge. For clubbers it's the first date marked off in their new diaries as the dance world descends on the Balearic clubbing paradise.

Over the years we've made headlines as well as history and left a legacy to be proud off. The impact Radio 1 has had on the island has been immense whilst clubbers in the UK have been treated to some of the most exiting live broadcasts ever.

Our interactive excursions began in 1998 and ever since we've brought you some of the best online Ibiza coverage to be found. Take a look through our old Ibiza mini sites and thank whatever god you pray to that it wasn't you caught gurning in our crowd galleries.

1998
1998Radio 1's first full mini-site complete with a Norman Cook video interview filmed moments before meeting Zoe. Plus Chris Moyles with a mullet to die for.

1999
1999Radio 1 went large at Mambo, Bar M went ballistic and in what must be one of the worst scheduling of DJs ever Gilles Peterson followed Carl Cox at Space.

2000
2000The short lived Pacha Beach Bar played host to Radio 1 as Sara Cox made her debut. Jay Kay hung out at KM5 with Danny Rampling and Dave Pearce came live from exclusive Pikes Hotel... no really, he did.

2001
2001This was the year we did 2 Radio 1 weekends taking in the opening parties. The Essential mix returned to Manumission and Tongy kicked it at Space.

2002
2002With a windmill as a back drop it might have looked like Amsterdam but Punta Es Moli was the new home of Radio 1 in Ibiza... It went off!

2003
2003Hey, who's that on a rubber dingy wearing a hotel dressing gown puling up to shore. That'll be P Diddy then. No entourage, no yacht, no fuss. Oh yes, no money to pay his bar bills either.

2004
2004Tongy does a whole season of Essential Selections at Mambo, Radio 1 throws a secret party at an old zoo and new daytime DJs JK and Joel get sloshed down the West End.
