Who's on the Guerilla bill?

Guerilla Gig Live

When we say it's all about the music, we really mean it. Guerilla brings you great artists, world exclusives and special tracks.

Here's the full line-up for the Guerilla Gig Live pilot:

The Raconteurs

The Raconteurs

Once upon a time (oooh, around the late '60s to the '70s) supergroups played pompous over-blown rock. Now meet a low-down, lo-fi supergroup for this millennium. The Raconteurs are Jack White (you may have come across the White Stripes), the one-man-band, toast-of-the-underground Brendan Benson and Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler who play supreme garage rock with The Greenhornes. As their name suggests, The Raconteurs are here to charm and to tell stories. Guerilla Gig Live feels very lucky: The Raconteurs treat us to their first ever live studio performance. Are you sitting comfortably? Then they'll begin...

Kano

Kano

This 20-year-old East Londoner could be called a 'sweet boy,' being the only Grime MC who isn't afraid to talk about love. But Kano, real name Kane Robinson, just wants to write and rap about the real world, not just the ladies. He's one of Britain's leading MCs and a pretty dab hand at producing beats too, making his debut album, 2005's Home Sweet Home, a huge critical success. Kano appears with close friends and fellow grime MCs Demon and Ghetto.

Guillemots

Guillemots

This band are the quintessential English eccentrics. They blend odd instrumentation and names that sound as if they were pulled from an old spy novel (Fyfe Dangerfield? Aristazabal Hawkes?) to create their own world of off-the-wall acoustic indie pop. Guillemots, who formed in 2004, are one of this year’s hottest tips. Guerilla Gig Live is proud to have the band on the show. The buzz is just starting, but remember you saw them here first.

Jose Gonzalez

Jose Gonzalez

Music lovers in the UK started to notice Jose's sparkle when his cover of The Knife track Heartbeats was used in a TV advert. Jose's gentle acoustic ballads, influenced by his Argentinean heritage, won fans the world over for the softly-spoken Swede. Right now, no one does downtempo-beautiful like Mr Gonzalez. On Guerilla, Jose plays a track from his album Veneer, never performed on TV...before now.

Zane Lowe's fresh meat

Fresh Meat - Send More Paramedics

As winners of Zane Lowe's Fresh Meat showdown, Send More Paramedics join us live in the studio to perform their hideous fusion of 80s thrash metal and modern hardcore punk, otherwise known as "Zombiecore". We're very, very frightened. Sonically and visually, these guys are remarkable - don't say we didn't warn you.

Mystery Jets

Mystery Jets

Mystey Jets left their nest on Eel Pie Island to play at our secret guerilla gig in North London! The five piece feature father and son duo, guitarist Henry and frontman Blaine, and are responsible for a highly refreshing blend of indie-prog randomness. How we managed to keep it a secret is a real mystery (sorry).

Imperial Vipers definately would be great on a Guerilla gig. They are a brilliant rock band who do a 'wicked' live performance. Im sure they would go down a storm!! Please invite them - you wont be sorry.

Pure_Morning
wowwwwwww guillemots.... do i need to say anymore

James
I agree - The Slides should be a definite, best new band i've seen - and The Others - 2 great British bands you see! Plan B would also be a great addition.. lookin forward to this!

jc
flapping love the send more paramedics show..made me eat my own brains.. also saw a band called 'last stop china town' at the underworld, camden a couple of weeks back.. should get them on the show, enerjetic to say the least

Leo
who was that guy on gurilla gog who sounded like damian marley???? I know he had a massive beard and was similar style in music to Jr.maraley.....PEOPLE MSG BACK IF YOU KNOW.....cheers

Sue - fan of the Vipers
How many people are fed up with the endless Pop Idol, X factor, pop acts being shown on TV. This is just the chance for new bands to shine and Imperial Vipers fit the bill. They are a superb rock band, trying their best to bring back rock into the limelight. You are just the show to help them - and you wont be isappointed I'm sure. Please give IV's their moment of glory and let them show just what they can do.

Kristian
Checked it out on tv fri night, what a good concept! well done for choosing zane and annie mac as presenters, as they are the best djs at radio 1. how can you get tickets to be in the audience? Ideas for a secret gig? The Automatic!!!

dasmup
was that a joke last nite or what? u onli had 2 look at annies face 2 c it was fallin apart. if u lose the audience u lose the gig and that place, well, not exactly TOTPs! atleast the crowd there all jump. nihal AINT funny ( doesn't he do big brother anyhow?) and y shut the audience away from the mystery jets when they clearly couldnt b bothered 2 walk throu 20 mins b4 they started playin. the entire program had the feel of a student art project done deleberatly as a hoax. however, the camera work on the jets was outstandin, even if the band wasn't and jose gonzalez's performance was sublime, the void left from dylan has finely been filled. and u no what, the way S.M.P followed the slice on the jewish raagaa man was genius, even if it justs highlights the differences btween the regular Gi and the insurgert believer... or sumthing like that! anyway, rant over, zane, yr the new big dog bro, just learn 2 keep the crowd chained 2 the bar 4 an hour b4 the show and it might just beat the tube!!

James
On the show last night, who was that jewish dude on the short documentry?? Heard one of his tunes before and sounds awesome! Anyone help?

willo
i wanna see the yaks play live they are by far liverpools best rock band

Sammie
BRAINS!

Matt
Wow, Zombies on the BBC...and I thought Auntie was sticking to her Reithian ways. Brilliant. You couldn't make it up!

Ruth
Gosh - Send More Paramedics don't look like my cup of tea! It's beyond me why anyone would like them, but otherwise the lineup looks ace!

Maddy
Yeah looks great! Well excited - but what about our fav new band for this month; The Slides? now - they are ones to watch live!?

Bob
The Others have to go

Terry
The Others should go on the show

Liz
Looks like a fabulous line-up - I got tickets!!! SO excited about seeing the Raconteurs. W00t!

G-force
Definitely you should check out The Priscillas. Saw them at 100 Club last week and blew everyone else away. Spiky all girl band that actually play and rock (no Pipettes style boys behind the curtains here!)

Jackie
Especially looking forward to seeing Guillemots!!

sam
Looking forward to The Racountours but you should have the godfather of the guerilla gig Pete Doherty!!!

Ben
It'd be quality to see We Are Scientists sneak onto the bill at the last second. What are the chnces?

maxi_bwoi

Diana aka Sugacane
The shows line up is really good!!! there's a good mix of different genres of music, this is good as the show will appeal to a wider audience. I would like 2 see KANO, SWAY, do a secret gig! x

Jason Broadstock
Great choice of line-up. Very diverse.... How can this show fail. Bands you wouldnt easily be able to catch live. Who would I want to see at the secret gig? The editors!

Sophie
Oh how I wish I were over 18! The Raconteurs!! *sobs into keyboard*
