So what's all this fuss about gorillas, then?

Guerilla Gig Live

Tired of the same old music TV? Ever wanted to watch something more exciting than an endless stream of videos? Never see the artists you love on telly?
Well, hello, good evening and welcome...

Guerilla Gig Live is just about great music, from every genre. It’s a brilliant party, everyone’s invited and it’s beamed straight to your living room. It’s the gig you’ve always wanted to go to…from the comfort of your sofa. You get the drinks in, we’ll bring you the bands.

Fronted by Radio 1 DJs Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Nihal, plus comedian Russell Kane, Guerilla will feature a mix of international stars, rising artists and brand new unsigned acts, all performing live in East London on Friday 31st March.

And if you do want to leave the house, watch out for the announcement of the secret guerilla gig, where a top draw band you’ll love will play live at a mystery location. If you want to know the band and the venue, tune into the show at 11:00pm, BBC THREE on March 31st. Then get your skates on. The first 200 people will to turn up at the guerilla gig will get in. Simple. Nihal will be there to watch it all go down.

If you can’t make it to the secret venue, don’t worry. The guerilla gig will carry on via your red button when the BBC THREE show finishes, and then you can check out loads of extra stuff online.

Zane Lowe

"Ultimately," says Zane, "there’s very little separating awesome music and its crowd these days, so we’re going to put them together in an exciting environment and pretty much get out of the way."

"It’s the kind of music show I’ve been waiting to get stuck into."

Guerilla Gig Live - March 31st, 11pm, BBC THREE

When's the next one?

Been watching and its a good idea. However you could do with a great rock band like the Imperial Vipers - lets try and change the way radio stations are and have some real rock for a change.

Carly Michael
i'm watching now - looks great, just what we need! is it only going to signed bands? any up and coming unsigneds??

Mallrat
You should get SPiT LiKE THiS on there - they'd tear the place apart!

Kev
Can't wait fot the gig tonight, have ticket for me and some mates but am just wondering what time to get down there to pick tickets up. Saw the Raconteurs last week and they blew me away.

Nick
TV just promotes well established bands even MTV2 does. Lets please put some different bands on there not just the usual tight jeaned guitar fodder. Lets have some etcentric popstars to be the chalets Gorgelo bordello the pipettes the research. Im older enough to remember that brit pop came from the underground labels ACE lets see what they've got

Hmmm...the term pilot always concerns me. Surely a show like this should just be given a series straight off the bat. Well people, let's hope this can be The Tube for the 00's. By the way, I think *********** are playing the actual guerilla gig.

snowphie
this sounds awesome. can't wait to watch it! hope its succesful! snuffs XxxXxX

jake
ye! Hope the gig is Take That or e-17!!

Keith
This sounds brilliant. Bout time there was a new music show on TV. I still love Later with Jools but this sounds pretty different. I'll be pressing my red button on Friday :-)

Deborah
I am looking forward to going to the show!!! This show is badly needed on TV. New bands don't really get the prime airtime they need and deserve. I hope this isn't just a one off, but a regular fixture.

paddy
cant wait zane, ive almost wet my pants

Corrine Hardman
