Last day

Just noticed that Edith is on the cover of 'is!' - the complimentary magazine for the Tayside area, which I found in my hotel room. We're now just one day away from Radio 1's Big Weekend actually happening, and The Ordinary Boys will be warming up for it on today's show. Wonder if Chantelle will be there? Oh my gaaaawd!

By the way - have you seen nessie yet?

The big finish

Our Road To The Big Weekend has come to an end! And what a way to finish. We had an amazing reception from the students at Dundee University Student's Union.

The Ordinary Boys helped us launch the weekend of live music with an unplugged version of Boys Will Be Boys and a cover of Streets When You Wasn't Fame. Preston even changed the original line, "fearing the next Mike Skinner scoop" to "fearing the next Prestelle scoop". By 3pm we decided to celebrate the end of our trip and the start of the weekend with a beer.

That was The Road To Dundee

Colin and Edith have just finished their final show - top crowd, and noisy too, which is what we like. It was great hearing them shout 'Iiiiiiitsonlybleyfriiiiiidaaaaay!' when Scott Mills came on too.

The Ordinary Boys were on form and if you missed it you can listen again and see photos here.

Sadly there was no sign of Chantelle but Colin's girlfriend was there instead so it's all good. Colin dedicated 'Golddigger' to her which was sweet.

This stat just in

Our drivers Dempsey & Makepeace have worked out that we've travelled over 500 miles to get to Dundee, which reminds me of a well known Scottish anthem that could be a good choice for a singalong at Moyles' Karaoke night later on.
