Due to music industry hype following SXSW Festival in 2006, this US band were tipped for big things before they even reached our fair shores. Citing influences ranging from Bob Dylan to Nina Simone, their brooding, bluesy commentary takes you to the dark side of America - and it's a very pleasant journey indeed.

Cold war kids are amazing, one of the best bands around at the mo. First heard them on Colin's show and just thought wow!!!! PLEASE get them on the day time play list more, (i know Jo has played them, but Moyles, Scott and Eidith all now have to get on board after this awesome set, Cold war kids for Mercury next year, best album most definatley

Heard there track 'Hang Me Up To Dry' on MTV2 couple of months back now, and took my eye straight away!! Hope there playing at Glastonbury this year, def a band to look out for in the future!!!

These guys are good ,very good , in fact brilliant. That basically describes my feelings during their excellent performance.I like the way they don't stick to just the Normal type of instruments and experiment with freaky ideas(i.e maracas played on thimbles on a speakerbox-great)So much Energy and Talent - A GREAT ACT FOR AN AMAZING FESTIVAL

although i wasn't there in person :( i realy really thought the cold wars kids set was incredible, nathan willet's vocal were amazing!i thoroughly recommend them! an essential band for 2007.
