EU agrees loan for Ukraine

The Council failed to agree on using frozen Russian assets held in Belgian.

European Union leaders have struck a deal to give Ukraine a loan of over a-hundred billion dollars after failing to agree on using frozen Russian assets.

We are reporting from Morocco. The Africa Cup of Nations gets underway on Sunday with 24 teams from around the continent competing for one of the great prizes in African sport. It's a big moment for Morocco, which will also joint host the World Cup in 2030. It has invested heavily in sports as a way of showcasing the country internationally.
