
Taiwan to boost defence spending
President says China is speeding up military preparations to take the island by force.
Taiwan says it is to spend 40 billion dollars more on defence saying it needs to defend itself as it faces a rising threat from China. We talk to an official from Taiwan's National Security Council.
Donald Trump says Russia is "making concessions" in talks to end the Ukraine war. He also says that Ukraine is "happy" with the way the talks are progressing. We speak to a Ukrainian politician to find out if they are.
And Italian politicians have unanimously voted to make femicide, the murder of women motivated by gender, a crime punishable with a life sentence.
