Polls Close in Mali Elections
People have been voting under heavy security in a run-off presidential poll
Election observers in Mali says there appears to have been a low turn-out in Sunday's presidential election run-off. They said less than a quarter of the electorate may have voted. The group also highlighted tensions on the day.
A handful of white supremacists and far right supporters have held a brief rally near the White House in Washington to coincide with the anniversary of racially charged violence at Charlottesville which left one person dead.
Fear has engulfed a small town in Northern Tanzania following a series of sexual attacks, torture and killing targeting women. More than eight cases have been reported in the last few months.
