Finance minister announces draft action plan to deal with sharp fall in the currency
Turkey's finance minister says his country has drafted an action plan to deal with the sharp fall in the national currency, the lira. He said the plan would ease the currency's volatility.
Polls have closed in Mali where people have been voting under heavy security in a run-off presidential poll. In some locations, soldiers performed body searches on voters.
A handful of white supremacists and far right supporters have held a brief rally near the White House in Washington to coincide with the anniversary of racially charged violence at Charlottesville which left one person dead.
