Pence Unveils Details of US Space Force

The US Vice President, Mike Pence, has unveiled details of a new Space Force saying the time has come to prepare for "the next battlefield". He urged Congress to approve the creation of a sixth military branch by 2020.

Syrian forces have reportedly begun shelling the country's last rebel-held province, Idlib in what many fewar could prove to be a brutal final chapter in the war. There are some 2-3 million civilians in the province, alongside jihdists and internationally-backed pro-deomcracy fighters. Government leaflets have been dropped warning people to leave.

A father and daughter have been reunited in Guatemala after they were separated at the US Mexico border earlier this year. Nazario, the father crossed the US-Mexico daughter with his 5-year-old child Filomena. He was then deported back to Guatemala whilst she was sent to New York.
