Details of US Space Force Revealed

The US Vice President, Mike Pence, has unveiled details of a new Space Force saying the time has come to prepare for "the next battlefield". He urged Congress to approve the creation of a sixth military branch by 2020.

The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has called for an independent investigation into an air-strike by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen which killed and wounded dozens of children. They were in a school bus which was hit as it drove through a market in the rebel-controlled north of the country.

Over the last two years, the protests against marginalization in the English-speaking regions of Cameroon have been met with a crackdown by security forces. The violence has resulted in guerrilla operations and demands for an independent state.
